Iris Implant Surgery for Aniridia Patients

I was just checking up on recent news related to Aniridia and found this story regarding a surgical procedure to change the color of ones iris. This is the first time that I have heard of this procedure but the article references that it could be of benefit to Aniridia Patients. I am posting it for your thoughts and discussion. Have you heard of this before?

I found this interesting:

Montasser explained: ‘The implant was created by doctors and biomedical engineers of BrightOcular but the original artificial iris implant invention goes back from over two decades ago.’ ‘It’s solely used for aniridia cases, which are currently used in the U.S. Europe, and Asia.’
